Quality Inn at Bangor Mall

Creative Memories had booked this conference room for January 23-25 after arranging it in October 2025. On the morning of June 23, after everything had been paid, we were told at 11:40 pm that we had to be out by 6 am because another group had the room for the day. They then said it was our mistake because we'd only booked it for one day, even though we'd been booking this room with them for 10 years. We eventually got our money back, but management was condescending, laughed at us, and showed no remorse or interest in resolving things while catering to the incoming group. Management wouldn't answer the phone at night, leaving the poor front desk person with no answers. It seemed obvious they had overbooked and may have charged the other group more. We'll never use them again. The rooms smelled, there were used coffee pods in the makers, and there was mold in the shower.

Our heater stopped working last night, so we got a hotel room to escape the cold. They put us in room 129 beside reception, and I worried it would be noisy, but the hotel was so quiet that we barely noticed. The rooms are simple and, above all, clean. Breakfast in the morning was complete, and the service was excellent. I definitely recommend this place.

The room was simple and clean, with few frills, and the price was good. The front desk staff were especially helpful and friendly, making the stay pleasant. It was about a 10-minute drive downtown, and Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park were roughly an hour away by car.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and there was plenty of parking. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance, which made things easy. A new employee was being trained when we checked in, so it took a little while, but that was understandable. Both employees were really friendly. It's no five-star luxury hotel, and that slowest elevator door in world history made us laugh.
