Bar Harbor Grand Hotel

The staff were polite and professional, and the complimentary breakfast was pretty good. The hotel was clean, quiet, and well appointed, with eateries and shops an easy walk away. We stayed at Bar Harbor Grand Hotel while visiting Acadia National Park, and its location near the park was convenient. If we visit Bar Harbor again, this is where we’ll stay.

The Chevy out front was a favorite with our son, who said good night to it every evening. The location on the edge of downtown worked well for us, since our two-and-a-half-year-old could walk around town and we could return easily when he was ready for bed. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. We’d definitely consider staying here again if we came back.

We stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. This is a large mom-and-pop hotel right on Main Street, so everything in Bar Harbor is easy to reach on foot. Our spacious room had comfortable beds and a big bathroom, and the shower had good pressure after a long hike. Breakfast was complimentary and amazing, and I loved the cold brew coffee, which is hard to find at a hotel. Free parking, friendly and helpful staff, and fruit-infused water set out each day were nice touches. Thanks for a great stay.

This was our second stay at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel, and it seems to get better with age. The rooms are spacious and well looked after, breakfast is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is the best part for us: downtown is an easy walk, so we don’t have to hunt for parking when we want dinner or to browse the shops. I highly recommend it.
