Days Inn Jennings

I checked in for five days and was pretty against it at first because the rooms are outside. The housekeepers were courteous and nice, and told me about their experiences with the air show. I know they can be really busy during those days, so even if my service hadn’t been perfect, I’d still appreciate and respect the time everyone puts in to keep guests comfortable and happy. My one issue is that I don’t like having an outdoor hotel room. That should change.

The older gentleman there treated me well, even when I was a little confused about a few things. I’d give it five stars if I hadn’t found a few dead bugs beside the door when I came into the room. I really can’t stand bugs. Still, compared with the very expensive Hampton and the nasty Motel 6, it’s good value, and I’d stay again. It’s just off the interstate, close to Walmart for travel supplies, and there are lots of restaurants nearby.

I counted seven spiders in obvious spots, including both sides of the bed, under the desk and nightstand, by the floor lamp and toilet, and on the air conditioner. These were places that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, with untouched corners for spiders to build webs. And they still ask for a $100 deposit. The owners have some nerve.

The room seemed renovated, and I liked the furniture and color choices. It was clean, though a few spots were a little dirty and old. Walmart is just around the corner.
