Dan was a great help with choosing hikes and local activities, and his suggestions helped us make the most of our days. Joan cooked a delicious breakfast for guests. We loved staying in our cozy room just off the main sitting room, where we could have wine and browse the extensive Acadia guidebooks. It’s a comfortable family inn on a quiet street near an entrance to Acadia, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Joan’s breakfasts were a wonderful way to start the day, and Dan kept us entertained with music each evening over wine and cheese. He also knows the area inside out, from Acadia hikes to places to eat, walk, and learn. Dan and Joan are fantastic hosts, and the inn felt like staying with family. We highly recommend it! We stayed in the downstairs Garden Room and didn’t hear a thing from upstairs. It was so comfortable, and the house itself was incredible. Dan and Joan made our Maine trip memorable with their over-the-top hospitality. I can’t say enough, amazing! 5 ⭐️

Dan and Joan’s attentive service and local knowledge made our trip even better. The rooms are private, with shared spaces where guests can trade tips in the morning and evening. Ours had a very comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom. The historic property is beautifully maintained, just off Bar Harbor's Main Street, with easy access to both Acadia and town. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Joan made sure I had a delicious breakfast every morning, and Dan had plenty of great stories and knew so much about the area. Thanks to both of you for adding to our unforgettable Bar Harbor trip.
