Cyan on Peachtree

Since I moved here in October, Nick has been one of the friendliest people I’ve met. He listens to concerns, explains what service an apartment may need, and gives realistic expectations. I work from home, so I appreciate how mindful he is when he comes in. He’s also friendly with my family, and even my guests have complimented him. The maintenance team helps Cyan on Peachtree feel like home, and I’m grateful for their kind service.

I’m glad we picked Cyan. It’s a beautiful apartment with a great view and good people around us, including a really supportive concierge team. We’re big fans of Nick too. A few weeks ago he came to fix our AC, was funny and nice, and had it working in no time. It hasn’t acted up since. Couldn’t ask for better.

The amenities were attractive, with beautiful views of Buckhead, but that was the only real standout for me. At these rental rates, I wouldn’t choose to live here. Other nearby properties offer much better service, maintenance, and living conditions for only a few hundred dollars more each month. I toured three two-bedroom apartments and the model. The halls were dirty, with badly scuffed walls that need fresh paint, and the elevator was grimy and smelled strongly of marijuana. The stoves in the apartments looked old and heavily worn. One bathroom had a dead roach on the floor. I could hear a neighboring TV and children crying during the tour, so sound insulation seemed poor. Before the tour, I had an appointment for 3:30 p.m. and arrived at 3:15. Nobody answered the call box, even though someone was visibly sitting in the leasing office and seemed to be ignoring it. Luckily, the concierge checked my appointment and let me in. The leasing consultant wasn’t rude, but she didn’t make me feel welcome, and I felt like I was bothering her. Compared with staff at other properties I toured, she seemed disengaged. Her clothes also struck me as surprisingly casual for someone representing a community marketed as luxury. From the location and exterior, I’d expected a luxury experience, but the interior and visit felt very different. The place came across more like a glorified housing project.

Management and housekeeping were kind and easy to talk to, which was a plus. Otherwise, my two years here were a mixed experience. The upstairs dogs’ nails clicked constantly, there weren’t many amenities, and people experiencing homelessness would come inside for coffee. Rush hour made it hard to get out, there was no trash pickup, and paying to register guest parking got old. We also dealt with lots of roaches and fruit flies. When the upstairs apartment flooded, water came through my kitchen lights, which was stressful.
