Hampton Inn & Suites Wellington

The room stayed too cold for me, even after I called about the AC issue a little after 6 pm. The next morning, Israel from maintenance came by and said the only way to raise the temperature was to turn on the heat. It was supposed to be 90 outside, so I didn’t want to do that. He said I could leave the fan on, but the room remained at 75, which is still too cold for me. The thermostat was stuck at 74, and maintenance leaves at 6:30 pm. At 9 pm, I was told my choices were to wait until the next day or switch rooms. I’d unpacked all my things after a long day of driving, including food spread across the table and stored in the little kitchen’s fridge and freezer. Moving and getting settled again would have taken at least an hour, so I stayed in the freezing room. The hotel should have told me about the maintenance hours when I first reported the problem. There was no customer service here.

I spend a lot of time here each year for work, and the staff make a point of finding out whether we’re on day or night shifts so they can keep the rooms clean around our schedule. They really take care of guests. The rooms are always satisfactory, and the hotel has a nice, clean smell. Everyone is so kind, and they recognize me when I come in, so it feels familiar every visit. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, and this is one of the best Hampton inns I’ve been to. I’ll keep coming back. Thanks to Hampton inn and suites Wellington for looking after us.

The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable, but that’s pretty common in hotels and wouldn’t put me off returning. The place is solid and very well kept. Housekeeping had everything spotless, and we regularly saw someone tidying the lobby, breakfast area, pool and restrooms. The front desk staff were also very friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed.

The shower was really nice, with super hot water, and the hotel room was very nice too.
