Rest, a boutique hotel

Happy Hour was lovely, with Taste's Hor d’Oeuvres and several local winery wines. Breakfast was generous, and Alexis was another wonderful hostess, warm, kind and engaging. At check-in, ‘awesome Andrew’ treated us like family. He was funny, thorough, warm and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, we slept well, and the whole place felt like a home away from home, with thoughtful details everywhere. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into what guests might need or want. This was our first overnight at Rest, and it exceeded expectations. We know where to stay for our next little getaway, and it won't be our last visit. The lovely hotel is a true gem, and next door is Taste Restaurant, with master chef Micah and his talented, friendly team serving an amazing range of dishes. Both Rest Hotel and Taste Restaurant are treasures, and we highly recommend them. Thanks to Mark & Tracey for all the details that made our visit and special celebration so enjoyable.

The room had everything we needed, was quiet, beautifully decorated and pet friendly. Our dog had a bed, bowl and snacks waiting in the room. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, with fresh pastries, fruit and eggs to choose from. REST is a cozy boutique hotel next to Taste in Plymouth. Registration was easy, and our hosts were accommodating. It was a lovely place to stay after enjoying Amador wine country. We'll be back!

The rooms are superb, and Rest includes an early evening wine tasting and a very nice breakfast. Andrew and Mya were terrific, responsive to guest requests, and knew plenty about local wine tasting spots and places to see. We've stayed here on four trips to visit outstanding wineries and have dinner at Taste restaurant, two doors down the street. It's a marvelous dining treat. This Plymouth, California hotel is a lovely, restful stay in a very quiet wine region town and a great way into the Amador wine expierience!

On my trips between Lake Tahoe and the Bay Area, I make a point of staying here a few times a year. Rest hotel is right in the heart of wine country, with comfortable rooms and a friendly, outstanding staff. I'd suggest tasting at a couple wineries, picking up a case of wine, then eating at Taste next door before settling into a comfortable room. You can hang out by a fire pit with complimentary s'mores and snacks, then have a delicious complimentary breakfast the next morning. You won't regret it!
