Hearthside Inn

Breakfast was delicious, and the service was amazing. Someone was always available when we needed them. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the heater worked well. It’s within walking distance of Bar Harbor’s restaurants and shops. This was one of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed at, and I’d definitely recommend it. There’s no elevator, and parking is tight. If you can’t find a space, you’ll need to park on the street.

The staff were phenomenal, patient, and pleasant. Olivia was especially helpful. The inn had such a homey feel and made our Acadia and Bar Harbor trip special. I’d recommend the king room with the en-suite spa bath, which was very roomy. It’s right in the heart of bar harbor, so walking around was easy. Popular food places and the village green island shuttle stop were 5-7 minutes away. The afternoon tea sweets were unbelievably good, like something from a bakery. Coming back from hikes to lemon blueberry custard tart, cookies, orange zest cake, and brownies was wonderful. Breakfast was very nice too.

The house is a short walk from downtown, so we could be near the nightlife without needing to drive. The ladies were incredibly hospitable and sweet, doing all they could to make our stay pleasant. We loved the daily breakfast and the baked goods they put out each afternoon. We had a great experience at Hearthside in at Bar Harbor and will definitely return next time we’re in Bar Harbor.

We could walk to everything in Bar Harbor from the inn, and parking was available outside. When the lot filled up, the staff pointed us to other nearby spots. On two early mornings we asked for breakfast to go, and that worked out well. The food was all delicious, and we enjoyed eating in the dining room with other guests on the days we could. We had a wonderful weekend at Hearthside Inn. The rooms and facilities were clean and nicely decorated, and the staff were so kind. We’d definitely book again on our next visit.
