The staff were friendly and attentive, and the inn was welcoming to our 8-month-old, providing a pack and play. My husband, our baby, and I stayed four nights in the St. Saveur room at The Mira Monte Inn, about a five-minute walk from downtown Bar Harbor. We liked the breakfasts and appreciated that they adjusted things for our daughter, who isn't eating full meals yet. Becky especially went the extra mile to make breakfast memorable. We were happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it.

We spent two nights here and had a beautiful weekend. It was our first bed and breakfast stay, and Cheryl and Bruce made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The staff and breakfast were fantastic. One day, we ate at the Inn, got coffee at Choco Latte, walked the Shore path, then relaxed on our private deck. We had haddock at Stewmans for dinner, then walked the Sand Bar to Bar Island at low tide. The next morning we got up very early to hike Cadillac mountain for sunrise and made it back in time for Belgian waffles at the Inn. We'd highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

The beds and especially the pillows were uncomfortable, and the sheets weren't great either. We only got a top sheet and a thin blanket. Breakfast was okay, but my husband found several hairs in his food. Cheryl will talk your ear off, so if you don't want to socialize first thing in the morning, you may want to eat elsewhere. Housekeeping came at 9 a.m. and woke us up, so be sure to put up the do not disturb sign. Breakfast is at 8 a.m., and Cheryl will call you. It was a decent stay overall, but listen to the lower-rated reviews. We mostly read the top reviews when booking, and the complaints turned out to be true. It was our first time in Bar Harbor, so I don't know if this is the worst experience there, but there may be better options.

The Grand Central room was just right for the two of us, with plenty of space to spread out. The bathroom and shower were roomy, the water pressure was great, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, a rare find since our bed at home is tough to beat. We didn't ask for housekeeping, but used the recycling bins outside the room. If we return, I'll ask for the same room. We stayed four nights the week after the 4th of July. It was our first time back in Bar Harbor since 2011 and our first stay here. Staff and owners weren't around much, but the staff were friendly and welcoming at check-in. Breakfast was served each morning, with the menu and signup times posted the evening before. We ate there the first morning, but it was just okay, so we didn't plan our days around it afterward. The scrambled eggs and bacon were fine, and the blueberry pancakes were all right, but nothing stood out or made us want to set aside time for breakfast. Still, this was a fabulous find, and I'm grateful we got to spend four nights here. We look forward to coming back!

We had a very good stay at this lovely Victorian Inn. The room was cleaned and straightened every day, which is becoming rare. Breakfast was delicious, and one morning we could pre-order a simpler takeout breakfast because we needed to leave early. Our room had a comfortable king-size bed, a gas fireplace, a whirlpool bathtub, and a private deck looking out over the garden. The inn is within walking distance of quite a few restaurants and bars, and it's an easy drive to the Acadia NP loop road entrance.
