Port Inn Bar Harbor, Ascend Hotel Collection

Brandon made the tricky car delivery part of our trip such a relief. We were shipping our car from Florida to Bar Harbor for a month-long drive back down the East Coast, and the delivery date could shift by a day or two. The Seasider agreed to receive it before we arrived, Brandon let us know when it was there, and he brought us the keys the evening we checked in. He was responsive and helpful the whole time. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and conveniently located. We really enjoyed Bar Harbor and would happily recommend staying here. Thanks again, Brandon!

The location is still ideal for an easy stroll into town, but the motel felt like a step down from when we stayed here under the La Quinta name. We came back two weekends ago and found new management. The room was clean and simple, though the appliances were old and the furniture looked weathered. Breakfast was disappointing. Overall, the Seasider Motel was below its predecessor.

Clean rooms and an easy walk of about 1/2 mile to downtown made this a convenient place to stay in Bar Harbor. They put out coffee and cliff bars in the morning. I’d definitely come back on another visit.

There’s coffee and water available around the clock, and the place was clean enough, but it’s a very basic 50s-style motel with no amenities. The bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way, so I had to call maintenance. It’s noisy beside the busy main street, about a mile from downtown, with no shuttle pickup or Uber. Poor location overall, and it’s not anywhere close to the seaside. I wouldn’t recommend it.
