Red Roof Inn Lexington, NC

It’s now 3:17pm the next day, and I’ve been sick ever since staying here. The room, linens, and towels all reeked of cigarettes. The whole place feels like trash, and the service, room, and establishment were awful. I’m sick because the staff can’t run or maintain the place. Gross. I called to ask about prices first. For the holiday, the price seemed okay, but after I arrived it all went downhill. The woman demanded $105⁰⁰ for the room and a $50⁰⁰ cash deposit. After I paid, she wouldn’t give me my change until I handed over my receipt. No, you give change once payment is made. She also wouldn’t note on the receipt that I’d paid a deposit until I asked her to write it down. When I asked for the payment receipt, she said I’d get it in the morning after I left. No way. I’d booked a non smoking room, but it was clearly a smoking room. When I raised it, they stared blankly and told me to leave. There were spiders in the room and holes in the tub. You all need to pull it together. This place is the absolute worst, and I’m leaving this honest review to warn people.

I stay at Red Roof for the pet policy and appreciate the nicer locations, but I won’t return to this one. There was no coffee in the room or lobby, and fake plants were sitting in the coffee machine. No breakfast either. Even a cheap continental spread would’ve been fine, something like the wrapped Danish or yogurts we get at most Red Roofs. The ice machine was broken, too. Service wasn’t friendly. The night person checked us in around 1am and was still there when we left at 10am, but never smiled or said thank you.

For 89 dollars, this was the nastiest place to stay. The beds were dirty, and the bedframe looked like it had mold on it. They know the rooms are nasty, which is why you can’t get a refund after five minutes. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially at that price. I had to go to Confort Inn instead. The people there were nice, and it was a good place for about the same price.

The room smelled like smoke even though I’d asked for a nonsmoking room. There was dry blood on the blanket, the fridge looked dirty, and there was a hole in the wall. The guy also wanted my personal information. There was plenty more wrong with the place. Don’t spend your money here, it sucked.
