Sand Bar Cottage Inn

My parents and I had a fabulous weekend in Bar Harbor at the Sand Bar Cottage. The friendly hosts and wonderfully maintained vintage home, with its modern upgrades and amenities, were just the right touch for our coastal Maine weekend. The Sand Bar Cottage team made us feel welcome and cozy in so many little ways. We loved how much it felt like being right at home, and couldn't recommend it more for a visit.

Chris, the inn keeper, was so kind and helpful, and made us feel special while we celebrated our anniversary. We loved our room, the breakfasts each morning, and the live music. Sandbar Cottage was a cozy, welcoming, and convenient place to stay in Bar Harbor. Being able to walk downtown every day meant we didn't have to worry about parking. Thanks so much, we'll be back!

The garden was quaint, with tables where we could sit and enjoy the weather and atmosphere, and we could walk to anywhere downtown in Bar Harbor. Each morning brought fresh, delicious breakfast, and there were afternoon snacks and tea as well. The room was amazing, and the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. From our late-night arrival, when Chris met us with a smile and snacks, through the time we left, the staff and stay were both 10/10. We felt like royalty the whole time. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Bar Harbor, and we'll definitely stay again when we come back.

Chris was amazing in every way, and our room, Acadia Southwest, was clean, cozy, and well done. We loved the daily breakfast, happy hour music, and the gorgeous gardens filled with butterflies and hummingbirds. It's an easy walk to the shops and restaurants, and though we hadn't realized parking in Bar Harbor could be so difficult, we never had a problem thanks to the easy parking at the cottage. The stay was at the top of our budget, but worth every penny. I'd recommend the Sand Bar Cottage to any friend or family member traveling to Bar Harbor. Thank you, Chris, for such a lovely stay!
