Extended Stay America - Memphis - Cordova

Mark, the maintenance myth, the legend. To the management team at Extended Stay America, Cordova, As a senior, I’ve seen plenty of customer service that’s just someone punching a clock. Mark feels different. He does the work of five people, and he does it with such a contagious smile that we’ve considered calling the CDC. I’m starting to wonder if your head of maintenance is a high-end android or a superhero in deep cover. He doesn’t just fix what’s broken, he seems to anticipate what we’ll need before we know it ourselves. He treats this place with the pride of someone who owns the building. If he starts wearing a cape over his work shirt, I won’t be surprised. Seriously, Mark shows a kind of excellence and old-school humanity that’s hard to find. He’s improved our stay and reminded us that some people still take real pride in caring for others. Please let him know he’s appreciated, and maybe check his locker for a cape. 🫡 Sincerely, Room 307

The staff made this stay especially good. They were friendly, professional, and very helpful, and check-in and check-out both went smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-kept everything was at Extended Stay Cordova. I’d definitely recommend this location and will be back.

Iris deserves a special mention. She went out of her way to help with everything I needed and is a top-notch employee. The team at American Extended Stay was professional and courteous throughout. You don’t often find service like that. Highly recommended.

I booked a queen deluxe room but was given a fully accessible room, and the front desk wouldn’t move me. I made them aware of the problems three times, but the clerk was curt and seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered. I didn’t want to make a fuss, so I just gave a thumbs-up and went back to my room. The window pane was off its panel and just resting against it, the lamp didn’t work, and I couldn’t get all the TV stations that were offered. I had to rush out on checkout day because they needed the room quickly, and I booked another place about a mile away. This area used to be pretty decent, but I’ve noticed it declining.
