The lakeside setting is a real plus, and the rooms were clean, comfortable enough, and had what we needed for a short stay. The hotel is affordable, too. Still, the rooms and shared areas feel dated, and some updates would make a noticeable difference. Nothing was awful, but it doesn't feel up to the standard of newer hotels. It works if you want a decent place in a good spot, though it could be much better with renovations.

I’m obsessed with this fun little townie hotel, with all its gossip, culture, and mini battles. My family’s been coming to this independent place for what feels like 84 years ☠️🤣. Night manager Trinity is a G. Maybe people underestimate her because she’s not America’s Next Top Model, but in my house, we like the big girls. 4 life!! By33eeeee

That Reuben was so good I was already full three-quarters of the way through and still finished it. I honestly should’ve ordered another to take with me. The rye was perfectly toasted, packed with corned beef, warm sauerkraut, melted Swiss, and plenty of dressing. Breakfast was excellent too, especially the enormous blueberry pancakes, and the biscuits and gravy were very good. Our waitress was friendly and a really cool lady.

The view is beautiful, and the restaurant food and staff were very good. The person at the front desk was really nice, too. But we heard the hotel has new owners, and the difference showed. The elevator floor was so dirty that we took the stairs, and the blanket on our bed was shredded and falling apart. How did housekeeping miss that? We stayed here a few years ago and it was much nicer then. Sorry to see the standards slip under the new owners. We probably won't come back.

I stayed here with my family in July 2024. I’m from Argentina, and it was my first visit to the U.S. The people, rooms, and food were all amazing, and I found the hotel delightful. I’d highly recommend it for a trip with family or friends. Thank you.
