Hampton Inn Huntington/Barboursville

We had a comfortable stay for several nights on vacation. The bed and pillows were comfy, everything worked and looked as it should, and breakfast was good. There’s also a charcoal grill outside with a couple of picnic tables under a canopy. The pool was closed for the season, and the few minor drawbacks were a tiny fitness area with one bike, one treadmill, and a few medicine balls, plus a broken fourth-floor ice machine that sent me to the third floor. For the price, I’d definitely stay again. It isn't a five-star hotel, but it doesn't cost like one, so it gets five stars from me.

Brianna was pleasant and helpful when I arrived, with amazing customer service. The room was clean, and there are lots of things within walking distance, plus a mall down the street. I would have given five stars, but the gym was horrible. Please remodel it and add some weights.

Everything else is fine, but the Wi-Fi was so bad I couldn't even listen to a video at 160p, let alone watch one. There was no connection on the 3rd floor. I don't understand why a hotel wouldn't have sufficient Wi-Fi on every floor. I'm glad I don't have to rely on it, but some people may in the future. You should fix this.

We love this place. The staff are the best we've had the pleasure of getting to know on our journey. The rooms are clean, and the area feels very safe. It's close to everything at the mall next door to the Crackle Barrel. Thank you!
