This will be my third year staying here with my family, and we've never been disappointed. There are grills, a private beach, and everything is nearby. We look forward to returning each year. Since it's right on the water, the apartment can smell damp, so bring some DampRid and you'll be fine. Besides, you should be on the beach all day!!!

Unit 209 had lovely upgrades and a great view, with fresh linens and a full kitchen. It was mostly clean, though the shower grout was a little 🤢 and the bowls and skillet weren't clean. The bed was pretty comfortable, and the sofa bed worked fine for my teenage boys. Beach chairs were included too.

We loved room 106 for cruise weekend. It was clean, stocked well, and worked for what our family needed. The office staff helped when we asked whether a pack and play would fit in the bedroom, and it did. Our daughter liked the sand play area. The animals staying there that we saw were all well behaved too.

Unit 303 felt rundown for what it cost. I’d stayed in a great unit here before, so this was a letdown. The furniture gave me a rash when I sat on it, and the photos hadn’t warned me about that. The place smelled musty and was filthy. Several lights didn’t work, the doors wouldn’t shut, the bathroom window wouldn’t open, and the tub wouldn’t drain. There was only one closet for a two-bedroom, and it was stuffed with old ceiling tiles and carpet scraps. Of the three beds, two mattresses were unusable: one sagged, and the other felt like sleeping on bubble wrap. They should be embarrassed to rent it out. I complained to Central Reservations, but management wouldn’t address anything. I was told the owner planned to renovate after the season. Central Reservations’ homepage says “Luxury Rentals, Great Service” and has a “Book Now” button. Don’t rent from them.

We’ve been coming to Windjammers for four years now, and it works well for us, especially with kids. The waterpark is just minutes away, and the boardwalk is a quick drive. It’s affordable, clean, and close to lots of restaurants if you’d rather eat out. The condo dates to 1970, so don’t expect the Ritz or worry too much about looks. We love being right on the beach, with a sandy spot for barbecuing and somewhere for kids to play. Our dog enjoyed watching people and other dogs pass from the patio on the shared balcony. We cooked in the fully stocked kitchen, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Maintenance came quickly when we couldn’t get the bedroom TV working. A comfortable place to stay if aesthetics aren’t a big concern.
