Americas Best Value Inn Paris

I had blood on the pillows, cigarette burns in the sheets, a toilet that needed three or four flushes, and no tissues in the holder. The advertised free breakfast was just a paper bag with two Oreos, a granola bar, a Kool-Aid pouch, and a small bottle of water. I booked for two nights but tried to leave early, and they wouldn't refund me. I'm taking the loss and renting somewhere else tonight. I won't stay here again or recommend it. I was in town for three chemotherapy appointments on consecutive days and asked for a downstairs, non-smoking room when I reserved. Instead, I was charged $15 for early check-in even though the rooms were already cleaned and there were only about ten guests at the hotel. They gave me a room on the second floor with no elevator, so I had to carry my oxygenator and everything else upstairs despite having lung cancer.

The location was good and the staff were very friendly, but the room wasn't worth the $75 total. There was no breakfast, despite it being advertised, and the photos looked at least 20 years old. I booked a non-smoking room, but it had clearly been smoked in, and it wasn't clean. I also found bugs. People from Mexico were standing in the rooms working.

The people were nice, but that was the only good part. The bed had hair all over it and nasty brown stains. Everything felt dirty and gross. This was the most disgusting motel I've ever stayed in, and I still feel scarred by it. I wouldn't come back even if it were free. The place needs to be condemned.

The pool looked like somewhere the swamp thing would live. Inside, the recliner was broken, the TV screen was messed up, and the electrical outlet didn't work. There was no working ice machine, either. I didn't expect much, but it was worse than I thought. Maybe I just got room 225, though I doubt it. The bedspread was so thin it was no good.
