The bathroom was so cramped that the toilet, sink, and shower were practically touching, leaving no room to move. Outside my room there was a lot of fighting, including drunks and people with guns, along with constant noise. At 8 pm other guests started blasting music too. The pillows smelled moldy, and the rest of the bedding smelled like body odor. The woman at check-in was rude and snarky, and the other people were rude and disrespectful as well. I was very unhappy with my weekend here and will NEVER stay again.

This time our room was so tiny, right by the office, you could barely turn around in it. The place seemed pretty clean, though. We stayed here after our wedding about 15 years ago, and that room was really nice. If we'd been given a more normal-sized room this time, I would've rated it four stars.

The indoor pool and hot tub were a nice extra, and our clean, comfortable room had what we needed, including a microwave and fridge. Breakfast was filling, but the menu was exactly the same every day. We picked this place mostly because Montpelier hotels are so expensive, and this was more reasonably priced and close enough to town. It felt like we got what we paid for, about 3.5 stars. A few furnishings are coming apart, and one day the tap water looked murky brown, so I definitely wouldn't drink it. Parking is limited. If you get in late, you may have to use the overflow lot beside the hotel, which isn't well lit at night.

The staff were wonderful. I left some clothes in the wardrobe, and Kari at the front desk called as soon as they were found so I could come get them. Thanks, Kari! My room was extremely tidy, the linens seemed new, and the bed was comfortable. I was especially impressed given the price.

The free breakfast was very good, with a waffle iron, bacon, sausage and egg patties, yogurt, assorted breads and bagels, coffee, tea, and juice. The room looked modern and clean, and the pool and hot tub were nice, though staff were strict about the pool hours. The showerhead came up to about my chin, which was a bit inconvenient, and the bed creaked a lot. I'd definitely consider staying again if I'm in the area.
