Best Western Plus New Barstow Inn & Suites

Our room on the second floor was spacious, clean, and nice, with a little kitchen counter and sink where the coffee maker sat. The bathroom was large and had shampoo, soap, and conditioner. Free breakfast starts at 6am, and there's a small snack shop by the front desk. We were only there one night to split up a long drive. Check-in was easy, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The beds were comfortable, and it's a good Best Western for a road trip. We could hear I15 traffic and the people walking around in the room above us, though, so the rooms aren't very soundproof.

As a regular corporate guest at the Best Western Plus Barstow on commerce Parkway, I sleep well because it's very quiet, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff have always been helpful, especially Ashley. Breakfast is one of the best hot breakfasts I've had, with a range of hot items, including biscuits and gravy.

Room 117 was spacious and had an extra sitting/living area, and we appreciated the well-lit parking lot. The hotel is also close to plenty of good food and shopping options. Check-in with the desk staff was pleasant, and we were given an upgraded room. Still, several things fell short of what we expect from a BW Plus. There was a water bottle and some crumbs next to the heater. The bathroom vent was clogged with dust and lint and could have been vacuumed, and the Body Wash was empty. The vanity mirror wouldn't light up. We asked about it, and staff said it wasn't really supposed to light up, but I don't think that's right. We've seen the same type of mirror at other Best Western hotels, and those do light up. The metal bed frame squeaked terribly when we sat down and with every small movement. We wedged a towel between the post and frame to get through the night, but it still needs fixing. The top of the headboard was filthy with dust. We reported these issues to the front desk at checkout. Our room was next to the pool and hot tub, right outside the window, so we could hear conversations from guests using them.

The service was welcoming and great when I arrived, and the internet speed was average but fine for Teams or streaming movies. This is a good BW Plus for a night when you're driving, especially if you need to be in SoCal early and don't want to do the whole 4 hour drive at night. I'll be back. It's right off the 15, with plenty of food choices nearby, including a McD’s across the parking lot. The room was large and nice, with a separate sitting area and a second TV. The bed could've been more comfortable, but was fine for one night. It can be noisy because it's close to the 15, so keep that in mind or ask for a room facing away from the fwy if you can.
