Budget Inn

The rooms were so nasty that I couldn't bring myself to go in. I looked for about five seconds, but the smell and condition were revolting. I don't know how to describe how disgusting they were. It seemed like it would take more effort to make them that gross than it would to clean them with cheap household products.

After my husband and I moved from Baltimore, we needed somewhere that would take us for an extended stay. The family who owns the Inn treated us so kindly and were a real blessing. Budget Inn gave us a safe place to stay while we got on our feet.

There wasn't any toilet paper in the bathroom, and the room's TV was badly broken. It would turn on, but the screen had a heavy red tint and was barely watchable. The attendant said our room didn't have Wi-Fi, then offered the office Wi-Fi instead, but that didn't work either. I also found no clean place to sleep: the pillowcases were dirty and had cigarette burns, and what looked like a bug on one turned out to be a booger with a nose hair attached. I was too worried to sleep under the blankets. The walls had what I think was blood on them, and the room was filthy. When I checked in for my one-night stay, I had to leave and get cash because their card reader wasn't working. I had called ahead and nobody mentioned it. I'm not coming back.

We've rented at the Budget Inn for several years and now book by the week. Our rooms have been clean and comfortable, with no roaches that we've seen, and the front desk is very nice. The weekly rate is good, and the internet connection is perfect. If the owners hadn't helped us, we'd be out in the rain right now. The claims that it's a nasty, dirty motel are lies.
