The room was freezing at first, with the thermostat showing 56 degrees, and it took some time to warm up. That was understandable with snow outside and temperatures feeling like -15. I liked having a room on a higher floor, and breakfast was very good, especially the cheese omelets. They also had takeout bags for snacks to enjoy later in the room. I needed somewhere close to work during bad weather, but my night shift meant I couldn’t check in at the usual time. After my shift I arrived at 8:00 a.m. so I could sleep before possibly being called back for a 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift. My reserved king room wasn’t clean yet, but they had other rooms ready and accommodated me without an extra charge. The check-in was quick and the staff were kind. I’d book again if I needed to be in the same situation.

I booked weeks ahead for a special event and now I have nowhere to stay, with no flight out for two more days. The GM, Terri, was a horrible liar. After I reported the first room’s shower was too cramped to fit in, the towels had black stains, and the lights only buzzed instead of turning on, I was moved to another room where the outer door wouldn’t close. Terri didn’t help with that and only said she was canceling my reservation. She told me to go to home2 down the road. The website photos don’t match the hotel at all. This place is garbage, about the quality of a hostel, and the people were absolutely horrible.

We stayed three nights with our family and booked two rooms. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and pillows were nice. It took us a bit to figure out the air conditioning since the systems were different in each room. Our room was only cleaned once, and the bathroom had no fan, which was frustrating. Breakfast wasn’t great, and each morning we had to ask staff to refill things because they didn’t seem to be paying attention. Some extras would’ve helped, like shredded cheese for eggs and dried fruit or nuts for oatmeal.

I’ll be back for business, though I wouldn’t really choose this as a family stop. The rooms were nice and had daily service, and the continental breakfast was the highlight. The desk staff were friendly and suggested BBQ restaurants that didn’t disappoint. There’s no pool. The entrance is a little confusing at first since you come in at the rear and the check-in desk is on the second floor, but signs point you the right way.
