La Quinta Inn Bartlesville

We spent a few weeks here. There was construction, but it never got too bad. Breakfasts were great, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Most things worked well throughout our stay. Sign up for the free Returns club to earn credits for every dollar spent. Not bad at all.

We come to Bartlesville once a year with a large group, but next year we'll take our business somewhere else. I read the reviews before booking and found them very misleading. This is based on several people's experiences in our group, not just mine. Check-in was a terrible first impression. The women at the desk seemed more wrapped up in their conversation than interested in helping us. The rooms were awful: no phones, dirty linens left in the bathroom, a broken ironing board, and no AC, with no help getting it fixed. Little problems kept adding up. Parking had enough spaces, and housekeeping staff were super sweet. We had fun leaving little messages for each other. Still, when we come to town again, La Quinta will be our last-resort hotel. We'd feel bad for anyone who had to stay there because everything else was booked.

The only reason we stayed was the indoor pool, and nobody mentioned when we booked that it was closed. The room itself made my skin crawl. There was so much dust on the kitchenette cabinets they looked like a different color, and the old couch was worn out. Everything seemed dirty, the carpet was worn and tearing, and the dusty tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in about a year. When you turned it on, it floated.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and the towels were nice. The rest of the stay was horrible. The place smelled musty, and water had pooled on the hallway floor. Staff put out a wet-floor sign and a fan as their answer. Ceiling tiles kept falling, and I met one guest in the hallway four times while he changed rooms. I also had to go back to the desk multiple times. The attendant first gave me a room that was already occupied, then the key wouldn't work twice.
