The Villager Motel

The rooms were clean, updated, and comfortable. The bathroom was clean too, with plenty of towels and cloths. I’d recommend The Villages Motel in Bartlett NH for a stay of any length. My reservation was made through a discount site, and I’d called ahead to say I’d be arriving late and ask about getting a key after the office closed. I gave my name and booking date and was told the key would be somewhere accessible. When I got there, there was no key, so I called the office at 11:30 pm. The owner came down to help. It turned out the booking company hadn’t sent my details to the motel system. She arranged a new reservation and room for the night, then contacted the booking company to cancel the original so I wouldn’t be charged twice. My experience with the owner and the place was A+.

The room was very clean, nicely stocked, and had good linens and a really comfortable bed. The kitchenette worked great for us, and the owners were friendly and ready to help. The grounds were nice, too, and you’re about 18 minutes from the main drag in North Conway. If you’re expecting the Ritz Carlton or a high-end Sheraton, look elsewhere. For the price, though, it’s exceptional value.

The owners were so friendly, and my son even got to play cricket with one of their kids. We had a wonderful family stay and enjoyed our time at the motel. The rooms were clean and spacious, and my son had fun in the pool. We’ll stay here again on our next trip to White Mountains, NH.

It wasn’t my favorite place, but our room was clean for the one night we stayed. I saw a few other motels nearby with a similar style. I wouldn’t pick The Villager Motel as my first choice, though I’d stay there again if I couldn’t find anything else.
