Candlewood Suites Chattanooga East Ridge by IHG

Dan at the front desk deserves a special mention. I arrived while rooms were still being cleaned and was exhausted, and he went looking for a room so I could rest as soon as possible. Every time I saw him during the stay, he was smiling and kind. The suite kitchen was great, the room spotless, and the rest of the staff were wonderful too. After awful stays at several other non-IHG properties in Chattanooga, this place was a huge improvement. I'll stay here whenever work brings me back to town.

We'd happily stay here again after our two nights. The room was fresh, clean, modern, and cute, with a comfortable bed and a nice kitchenette, including a full-size fridge with an ice maker. The bathroom was spotless and bright, and the hall and outdoor lighting made me feel safe going out after dark. The front desk folks were friendly and chatty, as we like in the South, and the outdoor grilling, smoking, and picnic area was really cute. It's near the interstate, with a 'junky' motel next door, and there's no breakfast, but being right off the exit made getting around quick. Cracker Barrel is right next door, too.

Genesis from the cleaning staff was helpful whenever we needed something. We were in town to look at properties, but we'd come back just to enjoy the hotel and see more Chattanooga history. It's the nicest and cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in, refreshing and elegant, with an amazing staff. Tonya checked us in at the front desk, and the way she talked to us made us feel completely at ease and like we were her priority. Her personality really shines.

Candlewood keeps reminding me why it's our go-to hotel. We arrived pretty late and had no trouble checking in. The young man at the desk even hurried over to hold the door for us, which was so sweet. The room was really nice for the price, with a comfy bed and clean bathroom and shower. I got a much-needed night of rest, and the AC felt heavenly.
