The staff were helpful and friendly, and the lobby lounge downstairs is a real highlight. I loved the fireplace, and breakfast was great. Our room was pretty good too, though some of the doors seem slightly oversized or off-center. They take extra force to shut, so they slam. I kept hearing that through the night, then realized in the morning that our door did the same thing when I closed it on the way to breakfast.

We came back because our first stay here was so good. That first room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The room on our return was in rough shape: the bed was bad, the tub faucet leaked, and there were huge smudges on the windows that I couldn't identify. One stay was fantastic and the other really wasn't, which is why I rated it 3 out of 5.

Breakfast was a full meal and started early, which is handy if you're heading out on the road. The staff were very friendly, and the open, welcoming lobby was nice. Our room looked pleasant, if a little dated, and the mattress felt firmer than I like. Fairly charming place.

The lobby was gorgeous, and it was fun to see there was a bar even though we didn't get to try it. Our room was clean and nice, and the bed was really comfortable. My son loved the place. The people seemed a bit preoccupied, but they were friendly.

The lobby is very nice, and the TV was good. The AC worked wonderfully too. That was about it for the positives. I was here with three other women, and two of our four rooms had doors that took a huge push or pull to open and close. The outlets seemed so bad that I was afraid to use one in case it shocked me or started a fire. Our coffee pot was broken. The water was yellow and smelled, though I know that wasn't their fault. The bathtub pressure was awful, with barely a trickle of cold water, so getting any pressure meant the water was scorching hot. There were ground-up bits of a roach in the carpet, and I wore shoes everywhere. The bed was decent, but not especially comfortable. Honestly, I can't believe this hotel is still allowed to operate.
