Best Budget Inn

The owner burst into my room while I was in bed and demanded payment for another night, even though I'd paid for two and had only stayed one. When I said he was being rude and unfair, he threatened to call the police. The owner was very disrespectful. The room seemed barely updated beyond the television, with everything else looking the same as when I worked there in 1998. The bathroom was bad, the bed had bugs, the floors felt gummy, and my white socks turned black after I took off my shoes to put on slippers. The covers had cigarette burns. Budget Inn in Bastrop Louisiana is the worst motel I've ever stayed at. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemies. This place should be condemned and shut down.

I was assigned this inn for a work trip, and the conditions were dirty, unsafe, and a health hazard. I woke up with bites and later found bugs in the bed. The bedding and mattress were soiled, water was leaking from the toilet, and both the tub and toilet were nasty. When I told the owner, the response was dismissive. There was no real effort to fix the problem or offer a proper resolution. Cleanliness and guest safety clearly weren't priorities. I strongly advise people to avoid staying here.

I'm in town for storm work, and the location and price are the best around. Bastrop has everything you need for stores, and the rooms are good.

The owner was a very nice, polite man, but I'd have been better off sleeping in my car. This place needs a serious renovation. My room had a bed bug problem, a dirty fridge with no freezer door, and a loose toilet.
