Super 8 by Wyndham Bastrop TX

All I needed was a clean room to get ready for a wedding and somewhere to sleep afterward, so I wouldn’t have to drive back to Cedar Park after dancing all night. I was in town for the wedding, plans changed at the last minute, and this was the only property in town with a double available. It was an absolute fail. The room wasn’t clean by anyone’s standards and smelled like pot. The floor was filthy. After my shower, walking across it left my feet gray and brown. The bed linens were in such a dilapidated state that I couldn’t believe it. I got ready as quickly as I could and had a great time at the wedding, then came back to that hideous room. It took about two seconds to decide to pack up and drive back to Cedar Park instead of getting into that sorry excuse for a bed. I’ve never been to prison, but I have to think the mattresses there are better. The “pillows” were maybe an inch thick. The walls were visibly scarred, and everything smelled awful and looked poorly maintained. The front desk staff were nice, but that’s the only positive I can think of. The beds aren’t fit for raccoons. Sleeping in the car would be preferable. ZERO STARS.

The location is close to town, which was a plus, and the AC worked, though it sounded like a jet engine and kept me from sleeping much. Parking was terrible. The property itself is dated and shabby, and the man at the desk was curt and unfriendly. The lobby door was locked, so we had to check in from outside, then take the outside stairs to our second-floor room. I wouldn’t recommend staying here and won’t return unless there’s no other choice.

Super 8 made my adventures while visiting bastrop great. The rooms were great, and the beautiful blonde at the counter gave great service. Thank you!

The room was spacious and elegantly designed, with breathtaking views. Staff were attentive, greeted us warmly, and made sure our needs were met. They treated us like royalty from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend!
