Comfort Inn

This was the worst hotel stay. I’m talking about TWO SEPARATE ROOMS. Both had serious problems: blood stains on the sheets, bed bug stains on the mattress, and floors that looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time. Hot water only lasted about five minutes, even in the jacuzzi. One room had no fire detector at all. The sink was clogged with bugs and hair and filled up, the tub had purple hair product all over it, and there was urine on the front of the toilet. The male cleaning staff member’s explanation was, “yeah some just spray it with bleach and leave it”. The GM said none of the issues were accurate and refused a refund because “we stayed for 5 hours”. He also claimed there were no other reviews about these problems, even though the ongoing reviews clearly show otherwise. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We booked the suite with the Jet whirlpool tub for New Years, so we expected more from the room. The king bed was uncomfortable, and the crinkly bed pad made the sheets feel slippery. The hot water kept cutting in and out, including the tub water. The pillows were flat, so I had to ask for more, and the temperature gauge didn’t work properly.

The room was gross and uncomfortable. It smelled bad, there were cockroaches, including a dead one by the sink, and hair on the towels as if they’d been used, folded, and put back. One bed looked like someone had started making it and given up. When I walked in, the room didn’t look cleaned at all. You get what you pay for, but cleanliness should be the bare minimum. If you’re really short on money and just need a roof for a night, maybe it’ll do, but I’d never stay here again.

The woman and two men who helped me were very polite, which was the bright spot. I arrived early to avoid a major winter storm, but they wouldn’t let me check in until the regular time unless I paid an extra $20. The first room had a blood-stained comforter. In the second, the comforters had burn marks all over them. The third room had decent bedding, but no cups for water and a fly strip hanging from the ceiling. People in the hallway spent much of the night knocking on doors, including mine, slamming doors, laughing, and yelling. Traveling alone with my granddaughter, I didn’t feel safe.
