Relax Inn - Batavia

There were hairs everywhere, along with spiders and spiderwebs. The shower didn’t work, and the office was closed. We went to best western, but the employee there didn’t know what to do, and everything took forever. We decided to leave. The place was disgusting.

My sister and I went out of our way to buy cleaning supplies at Target, then cleaned the room from top to bottom before we were willing to sleep there. The location was convenient, but the room was filthy: the bathtub, sink, floors, and mini fridge, everything was dirty. Checking in was awkward too. You can’t just walk into the lobby, you have to ring a bell and wait for someone to let you in. The lobby itself looked like it hadn’t been swept, cleaned, or maintained in a long time. There were stains all over the bedspread and writing on the lampshades. I know kids will do what they do, so I’m not faulting that part, but no hotel should be kept in such poor condition. In my personal opinion, I don’t recommend it.

It was quiet and relaxing, with a safe, very well-lit parking lot. I just needed a clean room with clean sheets and towels, and that’s exactly what I got, so I was happy. It’s a very basic motel, great if you’re on a tight budget or need somewhere for a night or two.

It’s convenient to the casino and cheap, and the staff were very nice. But OMG, it needs cleaning. The bed sheets were the only clean thing. There were dead bugs, spiderwebs, and dirt all along the room’s edges, top to bottom. The bathroom floor was dirty, and I needed a shower but didn’t take one. I worried about what else wasn’t being cleaned regularly. Too bad, because if the place were clean, I’d stay there a lot more.
