Americas Best Value Inn Limited Batesville

The housekeepers were kind, but I wish we hadn't stayed here. My boyfriend and I were there for about two weeks, and the WiFi kept cutting in and out. The pool wasn't open, there was no breakfast, our tub wouldn't drain, and the freezer in the fridge barely worked. For what they charge, that's a lot to put up with. We also got treated badly by one staff member. Checkout was 11, and at 11:01 she was at our door with an attitude, telling us to leave because we hadn't paid for another night. We'd spent over $400 there and expected better.

I was in Hattiesburg for a family reunion, and there weren't rooms at the other hotels, so I stayed here. It was 97 degrees every day, but the room had no hot water because the boiler wasn't working. They just lied about the problems. The rooms weren't very clean and there were cockroaches, so I bought roach spray and took a cold shower. The staff was nice, but the corporation that owns this American Best needs to put money into the building.

They charged me less than the price I was quoted online, which was nice. The room was tidy, the bed was comfortable, and there were four pillows on it, just how I like it. Plenty of light in the room too. A great little motel. 😊

The bed I was first given was awful, with box springs sticking out, and I was in pain after only a few hours of sleep. When I asked to move, the night audit person was rude and insulting. I eventually got moved to another room, but later learned someone had been put in the first room without telling me properly. I hadn't taken all my things during the late-night move, and when I brought that up she was disrespectful. I also saw that she'd slipped someone into the room afterward, and I inferred it was a male friend of hers rather than a paying guest. It left me wondering if I'd been assigned that bad room so I'd complain and move, leaving it free for her acquaintance while it was waiting to be cleaned. The service was poor and the staff impolite.
