Holiday Inn Express Baton Rouge Downtown

We checked in Friday night and stayed through Sunday, but didn't get fresh towels during our visit. The front desk ladies showed no care and said housekeeping usually does a better job keeping clean towels in stock. When I asked how I was supposed to bathe, they told us to use the gym towels, which were big but thin. The rooms were dirty, and the cleaning crew was nowhere to be seen. Just a bad, dirty experience all around. Never coming here again.

Mrs. Cassandra was so sweet, friendly, and amazing. She welcomed us with open arms and kept asking if there was anything she could help with. I especially want to thank her for everything she did during our stay. The hotel and our room were very clean, and breakfast was delicious. Everything was wonderful, and it was a great place to stay.

The night manager went out of his way to bring us two extra luggage racks, so we didn't have to put our bags on the floor. The staff were courteous, and the room was neat and clean. Parking was limited, and there weren't enough outlets for all the technology people use these days. No one came in to check on trash or fresh linens. I partly caused that by putting out the do not disturb sign while I showered, but the hotel also hadn't let us know that's how things worked. Still, it was a good stay overall.

The beds were nice, and the room was clean. Breakfast was decent and the staff were pleasant. Valet parking costs $16, though it can be free if it's included with your room. The bathroom could use a fan, and its sliding door didn't close all the way or lock.
