La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Baton Rouge Denham Springs

I still plan to stay here again when I'm back in town. Most of the staff were kind, and the cleaning ladies were wonderful about bringing fresh towels and sheets every day. The front desk team is great, except for the woman working Valentine's night. I tried to buy chips and Powerade, but snacks could only be paid for in cash. I had only a $100 bill, and she said she couldn't make change, so I had to put everything back while she watched. Her attitude was rude, and that's not how customers should be treated. Thanks to the rest of the staff for being so nice. I appreciate it.

The room was clean, and the bed was soft and comfortable. I also appreciated that the bathroom didn't have single-use plastic toiletries. At check-in, the staff were friendly, and it looked like the hotel had made an effort with new carpet and paint. The breakfast needs healthier choices, though, and the disposable plastic and Styrofoam create a lot of waste with no recycling. Noise control could be better too.

We were moving to Texas with our two dogs, and this place was right off I-12 with a reasonable $25 pet fee. Our room was under $100, clean and surprisingly nice, with comfortable beds and pillows. It was on the first floor beside an elevator, but still very quiet. There was a refrigerator, though no freezer. Staff at both check-in and check-out made me feel like I was bothering them, even though there was no line and I was friendly. Otherwise, it was a really nice stay, and I'd come back.

We've stayed here twice while having procedures done down the road at Ochsner. The attendant who welcomed us was such a joy to talk to, and the room price is very affordable. We'll definitely be back.
