OYO Hotel Baton Rouge East I-12

Nothing in these rooms seems upgraded, yet they charge an arm and a leg to stay in the trenches. I’ve never seen someone bring a raccoon into a hotel room, but now I understand why these rooms are bedbug infested. Expect to get bitten. I won’t spend my hard-earned money here again. If I wanted to live outside, I would, but these rooms give you the full outdoor experience anyway.

The pictures are a lie. There were cockroaches in the fridge, on the bed and pillows, on the walls, under the sheets, and in the bathroom. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut, and the front door lock was loose. Absolutely horrible, don’t stay here.

The location really isn’t for me. People were hanging around and trying to break into cars. But the service was pretty good, and the room was the cleanest I’ve ever seen at that location. I couldn’t believe it.

We ended up sleeping on our own comforters and blankets because we didn’t want to touch the sheets. The first room smelled like weed, and its sheets were stained and looked like they’d been peed on. The shower curtain rod was falling off, so we went to the office and got another room. It was a little better, but still nasty, with cigarette burns on the sheets and the same loose curtain rod. I’ll never come back.
