The Stockade Bed and Breakfast

After staying at the Stockade a couple of months ago, we now look for B&Bs like it when we travel. I was recovering from outpatient surgery and needed a quiet place to rest for a day. Going straight there afterward made recovery easy, and I credit the peaceful setting for that. The fresh food was exceptional, the house was impeccable, and the rooms felt made for visitors who needed somewhere serene to rest. Janice was so kind. We loved it and won’t stay anywhere else in Baton Rouge.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this Baton Rouge B&B. The host was warm and welcoming, breakfast came with homemade cakes, and the spacious rooms were fully equipped. It’s a lovely house, tastefully decorated.

Janice went out of her way to make our wedding day happen and keep our stay comfortable. I recently held my wedding at The Stockade B&B and stayed there for a few nights. The room was immaculate and clearly set up with guests’ comfort in mind. Janice, the owner, was amazing and kind. If you want a cozy wedding venue in the area, this is a great choice.

We stayed in the Blue Room, and the balcony view was so peaceful. The room was beautifully decorated, with a generously sized bedroom and bathroom for the nightly cost. It had everything we needed to be comfortable, including a fan, different blankets and pillows, a coffee pot, and a robe. Janice is so sweet and a wonderful cook. Breakfast was freshly made each morning, and she shared lots of resources about things to do nearby. Such an adorable B&B in a beautiful neighborhood, it felt like home.
