Quality Inn

EDIT: This is the Houston, TX, West Chase location, not the Bay City, Texas location. DO NOT STAY HERE! The room was run down and smelled, and we were charged an extra deposit. In the middle of a winter storm there was no hot water. When I got up to use the restroom, I found what looked like millions of roaches in there and crawling on the walls. We left and stayed in the truck until morning. Breakfast was just waffles, toast, and orange juice. When I asked to speak with someone about the problems, he said there was nothing he could do to fix them. Lesson learned. I’ll be calling the health department.

The front desk was friendly and helped with restaurant suggestions, and everything in the room worked properly. We stayed two nights in a king room that matched the pictures. It was newly renovated, very clean, quiet, and had a comfortable bed. The pillows are fat, so bring your own if you prefer flat ones. The parking lot was well lit, and the pool looked clean, though I didn’t swim. Breakfast was so-so, as usual for Quality inn. The area was so-so too, but we had no problems. Location is the only thing I’d rate below five stars, and I’d definitely stay again.

The pool could use a handicap rail by the steps for seniors. Breakfast was a little weak compared with somewhere like Hampton Inn, though it was free. The room was very clean and had everything I needed, including directv and a work desk. There was also a printer and ATM in the breakfast room. The price was very reasonable for a road trip to the area, and I’d stay again. Sorry, no room photo.

It was easy to find, and I’d recommend staying here. The front desk agent was helpful, professional, and super nice. Housekeeping checked every day to see if I needed anything, brought fresh towels, and took out the room garbage. The service was impeccable. They all deserve a raise.
