The restaurant was nice and the food was delicious, but even a cappuccino or latte with breakfast cost another $5. Breakfast was included only for two people, despite our suite rate being for six, so I had to pay for four more breakfasts every day. A bottle of water in the room was $8, and it felt like everything came with an extra charge. We came for an event and expected The Altair to be a fancy hotel, so I was willing to pay for a nice weekend at a conference. The lobby was tiny, and the rooms were fine but didn’t justify the price. I was disappointed and probably wouldn’t return. I’d go to a non-kosher hotel and buy my own food instead, which would be ten times cheaper.

Reception made the strongest impression on me. Regis and Marcos were professional, friendly, and eager to help, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and looked after. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and I appreciated the gym’s good range of equipment for a solid workout. I had an excellent stay at Hotel Altair in Barbour Miami and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

My wife needed a wheelchair after surgery, and the hotel had one ready when we arrived. A staff member personally pushed her all the way to our room and brought up our luggage. When we asked for utensils a little later, they arrived right away. The whole team was kind and professional when she needed extra care and comfort. We hadn’t known exactly when she’d be discharged, so I called earlier that day and asked whether we could check in around 11 AM instead of the usual 4 PM. They immediately said yes and asked for a few minutes to get the room ready. That flexibility meant a lot during a stressful time. We had a wonderful experience at the Altair Hotel in Bay Harbor. Highly recommend the people and service.

Our waiter Edi was attentive and knew the menu well, keeping the drinks coming without hovering. Manager Yalcin greeted us with a warm smile and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was great, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere made us want to come back. The dessert was exceptional. Highly recommended!
