Homewood Suites by Hilton Tampa - Port Richey

Deb at the desk took great care of us. We had a suite with a large main room, two queen beds, a bathroom and closet for the kids' area, plus a small living room and kitchenette. The master bedroom was great too, with a king bed, a large closet, and an updated bathroom with a tub. We were six people, four adult football players and two parents, and all had our own quiet areas. We booked the day before our trip, which is today, Nov. 15, for $250 all in. With the room size, free breakfast, and pools, it was a great deal. We'd definitely come back, maybe after the new beds arrive. The hotel is being updated, and the rooms have fresh plaster and paint that look good. The furniture is older, though, and the sofa, table, and chairs are worn. The beds were uncomfortable, including the king.

The outside area was really nice, with a hot tub, heated pool, fountain, and another pool that isn't heated. The visit was nice overall, though the place could've been cleaner. We'll definitely go back.

We only stayed one night, so didn't get the full experience, but the pool alone is worth a visit. There's a cold pool, a warm one, and a hot tub, plus a relaxing patio with little activities like a putt-putt green. The bathrooms were great, and I liked the full-size bottles by the sink and in the bathroom as a way to cut down on waste and plastic. The room carpet and some of the furnishings are dated, and there was an odd amount of trash left around some hallway bins. Still, it was a good stay and I'd return, especially if I found a discounted rate online.

Having coffee, tea, and water in the lobby most of the day was nice, and texting the front desk was really helpful. The king suite had a good-sized kitchenette and a pull-out couch in the living room. We loved the two pools and hot tub, and the breakfast was great.
