Holiday Inn Houma by IHG

The room was modern, clean, and quiet, so I got a comfortable night's sleep. I arrived around midnight after a flat tire and a late delivery, on my first hotel stay since returning to long-distance work after two years of local runs. The front desk woman was friendly, sweet, and helpful with suggestions for nearby tire shops. She also moved me to an identical room on another floor because the room I'd booked had a family with three children next door. I can't recall her name, but I think she had red hair and small tattoos. In transportation, I don't ask for much beyond clean, safe, comfortable, and reasonably priced, and Holiday Inn usually gets that right. I stayed 3/6-3/7,2026.

Paula at the restaurant is always lovely and knows what to suggest from the menu. She remembers that I like ice cream, too. Edith makes a great River Parish Alfredo. The rooms are consistently clean, and the staff have always been welcoming and helpful.

The bed and pillows were the best I've had at any hotel I've stayed in, and the property was clean. Staff were polite and helpful. The night auditor, whose name I can't remember, arranged both a late check-in and late checkout while I waited for my car rims to be repaired. Two weeks later, they still haven't fixed them!

I was back in Houma for a business meeting. The rooms had plenty of space and no bed bugs, and breakfast was genuinely good. I'd add it to the stay instead of paying at the cashier. The phone reservation and check-in went smoothly, too.
