We filed a police report and there's an active investigation, so this is a serious situation. Until it's resolved and someone takes accountability, I can't recommend staying here. Keep your belongings secure and consider other options. My girlfriend and I expected a relaxing getaway at the Napa Valley Hotel and suites. Instead, after we were out and housekeeping had entered our room, we came back to find our things moved around. Our bags had been opened and rummaged through, and personal items and drawers were shifted in ways normal cleaning wouldn't require. My Rolex was missing. It had been among our belongings, and it was gone after staff had access to the room. It wasn't something we'd left out in plain sight or simply misplaced. We raised it with management. The manager first said he had been there while training the housekeeper, then later in that same conversation said he wasn't there at all. When we pointed out the contradiction, he got defensive and seemed more focused on protecting his staff than addressing the accusation. There was no empathy, urgency, or accountability. He didn't show concern that a guest's valuables were gone after staff entered the room, and the lack of transparency was extremely troubling. What should've been a restful trip became one of the most stressful hotel experiences we've had.

For less than $200 a night in the area, this was a decent no-frills spot right in downtown Napa. Being able to walk anywhere downtown was a big plus, and the staff were super friendly whenever I dealt with them. Parking can be annoying, I imagine, though it wasn't an issue for us. Our ground-floor room was louder than I would've liked, especially when the pool gate opened and closed near the couple of rooms inside the gate. Cell service in the room wasn't great. I didn't try the wifi, but that didn't matter much since I only came in to sleep. You get what you're paying for, so keep your expectations in check. It wasn't the best hotel I've stayed at, and my in-laws absolutely wouldn't stay here. Neither would I stay with my spouse. Still, for what it cost, it was a good spot.

The booking was a struggle. They kept canceling the reservation, then offered the same room at a higher price as the reservation date got close. The front desk staff seemed confused and weren't helpful. Terrible place to stay. I'd avoid it if you want a peaceful trip.

Great location, with restaurants and bars within walking distance. But the system meant they wouldn't let anyone check in even a few minutes early. The shower water was warm, and it smelled awful.

The hotel sits right in the center, close to everything, which is great. Free parking is quite limited, though, and the downtown noise carries on later in the day. It could bother light sleepers.
