Hotel Blue Baytown TX

Truck parking here is great, and the rates for both people and dogs are very reasonable. A handy place to stay if you drive a truck and travel with dogs.

We didn't get much sleep with people making noise outside and knocking on doors all through the night. This isn't somewhere we'd bring our family, and we won't be back.

The motel is older, but it was clean and the staff were friendly. Room prices were reasonable. Breakfast was very limited, just cold cereal and instant oatmeal.

The bright lighting, hardwood floors instead of carpet, full fridge, and comfortable beds were better than I'd expected, and the front desk clerk was pleasant. We ended up at Super 8 after Candlewood suites had given away our booked room and everywhere else was full or $200 a night. I was wary because of Super 8's reputation, and a few things still bothered me: the room smelled musty, probably from smoking, the floors were dirty, and the pillowcases and sheets were stained. Better vacuuming in the corners, mopping with bleach water, and adding a little Pine-Sol to the blanket wash might help with the smell.
