There was construction, and roaches everywhere.

The location was handy, close to the highway and with plenty of places to eat nearby. I stayed one night while passing through, and the room was tidy and updated. The staff were friendly too. I hadn't expected much when booking online, but it turned out to be a perfectly decent stop.

We had a peaceful night's sleep and would gladly return. The staff and management clearly care about running the place well, and we appreciated the clean room and quiet upper floor. We were in town for the 2026 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting, and the hotel was a good budget choice about a 20-minute drive from the CHI Health Center. Having stayed at the Candlewood Suites last year, we were unsure what cleanliness would be like at a budget hotel. This Days Inn exceeded our expectations: the standard room was exceptionally clean, and the hot tubs, sinks, and mirrors looked brand new. It's a quiet area. The first floor is semi-underground, so we chose the 3rd floor and found it pleasant and peaceful. A hardworking Indian family manages the hotel. They seem proud of how they run it, keeping unnecessary costs down to pass savings on to guests while maintaining high room standards. Breakfast is a free continental one, and there's a handy water and drink machine on the first floor, just beyond the lobby. There's no elevator, so be ready to carry heavy luggage up the stairs. For us, the clean, quiet upper floors were worth the climb. Thanks to the management team for their professional work.

It was okay apart from the dirt. There were ants all over, and the bathroom didn't look cleaned, with hair on both the floor and walls.
