Home2 Suites by Hilton Beaumont

After 17 nights here, I’d say this was probably the best Home2Suites I’ve stayed at. Breakfast was ready by 5:50 a.m. every day, weekends included, and it was well stocked and organized. Housekeeping came daily and even refilled the coffee in my room. Someone was always at the front desk to greet me with a smile and a hello. The rooms were nice, the elevators clean, and the parking lot felt safe and was well maintained. I travel for work all the time, and this was a very well-run hotel.

The refrigerator made an odd noise through the night, which was annoying, and there was black mold in the shower corners. The floor felt sticky. After my shower I pulled back the bed and found a soiled fitted sheet and mattress pad. My wife went to the desk and was told no housekeeping was available, but they gave her fresh sheets. They were for a queen bed, so she went back and got king sheets that weren’t fresh. We made the bed with those wrinkled sheets, then slept on top fully dressed. Terrible. My wife and I had just driven 12 hours from Florida and wanted a clean, quiet room to sleep in. This nightmare stay in room 117 last Wednesday has us deeply regretting our choice.

The room was very clean, and I really liked the gym. The outdoor pool looked nice, and people were actually using the grill. I was impressed and am looking forward to the free breakfast. It was my first time at a Home2 Suites by Hilton. At first, I thought they didn’t want me there because the door wouldn’t open, and I even second-guessed my reservation. The front entrance blends into the side of the building. Guest services let me in, we laughed about it, and she checked me in.

Our room was very clean, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were really nice and accommodating, even though the hotel was busy and they had a lot to handle. It’s next to restaurants, which was convenient. If we’re in the area again, we’ll be back.
