Booked online and finally got a quiet, uneventful night. There was some traffic noise, but it wasn't very loud, and I personally find that kind of sound relaxing, like ocean noise. The room was clean, and the front desk guy was friendly and accommodating. I also appreciated that he took the no-smoking policy and other basic rules seriously. At the Motel 6 I stayed in the night before, those rules seemed more like suggestions. If I need a room again, I'd stay here, especially if I need a quiet place to sleep before work.

After a long weekend trip on Amtrak, I was glad to be welcomed by the office staff. They were helpful and made the end of my trip a good one. I'd recommend the hotel and encourage people to see it for themselves. Unfortunately, it seems some people have left bad reviews in bad faith.

I paid for two days while in town, but left after less than an hour. The room was disgusting: stained sheets with paint and black smudges, holes in the wall stuffed with toilet paper, and a bleach smell, though something in the room had been cleaned. I had just unpacked and showered when, at 11:22 pm, a staff member banged on the door and then opened the locked door less than two seconds later without my consent. I was completely naked. He stood there for a couple of minutes asking which car was mine and who was in my room. I don't know what he intended to do, but I was left feeling violated. He kept the door wide open for about two and a half minutes while people at a gas station outside looked in. I'm beyond livid and feel completely disrespected. I got my money back, but only after more than an hour and police involvement. I still feel I need to press charges for intrusion upon seclusion, invasion of privacy, and voyeurism, or peeping Tom laws. I'll never stay here again.

Honestly, everything about my stay was great. The guy in the office was really kind, and the room had a huge bed, lots of outlets, a fridge, a microwave, and a good range of channels. Thanks for the help, Holiday Lodge!
