Hotel Salina

The bathroom was tiny and had no fan, so we had to open the window. Its screen was bent inward, leaving a wide opening with nothing to keep bugs out. The hotel was noisy too. When we first arrived late at night, the non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes, so we asked to move. In the second room, we found cockroaches. I mentioned them at the desk the next morning when asking about a later checkout. I said I wouldn't write a review if they waived the $25 late checkout fee, and the staff member was rude and accused me of blackmail. I've stayed in more than 150 hotels over the last five years and never reviewed one before. This is easily among the worst. I wouldn't recommend it. Spend $20 more for a better hotel and customer service.

My girlfriend has eczema, and the filthy conditions made it much worse, leaving her very uncomfortable and distressed. We found live roaches on the bed and in the bathroom by the showerhead. The room also reeked of roach spray as soon as we walked in. It was an awful, unsanitary stay, and we won't return. We booked through Orbitz, and they won't give us a refund.

The staff were really friendly. They even came to our door to tell us we'd left the car door open. Good motel.

I booked through Expedia, which said the front desk was open 24 hours, but when I arrived there was a closed sign and nobody there to help me check in. I waited outside the desk for three hours hoping someone would show up. No one did. Very upsetting, and I strongly recommend not booking a stay here.
