Fairfield Inn & Suites Dalton

Bonvoy members, beware. I had an approved 4pm late checkout and came back around 3pm to pack and leave. I requested it in the app, then confirmed with corporate that it wasn't automatic, so someone at the front desk had to approve it. Hunter, the manager on duty, told me management had to approve late checkout and that he'd already charged me whether we stayed that night or not. He charged 4X the nightly rate from each of the previous 2 nights for 1 extra night. He said he couldn't do anything, but that was a bold-faced lie. I confirmed he could have overridden the price to match the earlier rate and extended the stay. He blamed the “new system” and said he was unable to do it. He could also have checked me out without charging anything. He had full access to void the outrageous new charge and chose not to, and chose to STEAL my money. No matter your membership level, be prepared to be treated like total crap here. The beds suck too, and hot water takes forever.

We're here for a cheer competition and have had a wonderful experience, from booking right through breakfast. Our girls had to be at the convention center early, so the staff put breakfast out before its scheduled time to make sure they could eat first. I thought that was really considerate and thoughtful. Thank you all for the lovely service.

The biggest problem for me and my colleagues was the noise between rooms. It carried through the walls so much that we were all frustrated, and we'll push for a different hotel next time we're here for work. This stay was good for the price, though. The hotel was clean, the staff were kind, and it felt fresh and modern after updates. Breakfast was okay, got the job done.

After a very long travel day, checking in was such a pleasant experience. Fitz at the front desk went out of his way to welcome us and get us a very nice room. He was friendly, pleasant, and eager to help, including with suggestions for nearby restaurants. I'd highly recommend this Fairfield Inn!
