Quality Inn Dalton East

I came in around 3 a.m. with a car hauler because the listing said there was truck parking. There wasn't any, though I managed to park on the side. The room smelled horrible and was completely outdated, so I sprayed Lysol before going to sleep after a shower. They said a 12:30 p.m. checkout would work because I couldn't leave until 1, but someone knocked at 9:35 to ask when I was leaving. I was furious. At checkout, I asked them to print my BOL'S and was told it would cost $2 a page and nothing was free. I reported them to CLC. This place is run down garbage. Stay away, you'll be upset.

The mattress was surprisingly comfortable, but that was the only good part of my stay. Dark hairs were in the sink when I arrived, and I could smell cigarettes and weed for much of the night. The in-wall HVAC pulls air from the outdoor walkway, which seemed to bring the odors in. With rooms opening directly outside, I felt I had to keep the shades bolted shut for privacy. The lobby looks updated, but the property itself is in poor shape and feels like an old-fashioned motel. Breakfast was very limited, basically a waffle or juice. Checkout felt impersonal, and with no staff around I had to leave my key in a basket. The comfortable bed couldn't make up for the cleanliness and constant smoke smell. I'd look elsewhere in Dalton.

Room 126 had roaches, the remote was nasty, and the ceiling was coming apart. The sheets were stained, too. Breakfast was just cereal, fruit, and coffee. Spend a little more for a better hotel in a better area. Exit 333 Dalton central is way better than this hole.

The beds and room were okay, but the shampoo situation was gross. The bottles were only about a quarter full, apparently left by the previous guest, and I wasn't going to use that. They had shampoo and conditioner, but there was very little left in a bottle sitting on the counter, as if guests were expected to use it. No thanks.
