Poste Montane Lodge

The hotel is in a great spot, with everything within walking distance, and the people working there are friendly. We spent nine days in Poste Montagne, two as hotel guests and seven in a timeshare unit. The two rooms had different layouts, but both were clean, roomy, and comfortable. It's an old-style hotel with European charm, so it's a good choice if you're not after a modern place. We were there in early September, so the lack of air conditioning wasn't a problem. When we wanted, opening the window worked well. Breakfast was good, though a bit limited, and the pizzeria in the building was quite good too. One small arrival wrinkle: if you come by car, you enter at basement level and need to take the elevator to the first floor to check in. There's a sign on a basement table, but it's hard to read.

The rooms were awesome, and breakfast was really good and included. It's the cutest hotel, and the real standout is the staff. Rob and Scott were both so kind and helpful, and the hotel itself is gorgeous.

The location was perfect, with our room looking out both onto the street and the walking areas of Beaver Creek Village. Poste Montane was small, with only about 24 rooms, but quiet. Our rooms were immaculate and spacious, with lots of storage, a mini refrigerator in each, and robes. There was plenty of room for family time. The front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and accommodating, and parking was easy and free since we traded through Interval. Each morning's breakfast was delicious. They served three hot items, plus fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, breads, and pastries, and there was a waffle maker. On Tuesday evenings, guests got complimentary wine, a small selection of beer, cheese, and crackers. After e-biking, we enjoyed the small, clean indoor hot tub at Poste Montane. It also has a sauna we didn't use. We went to the spa and hot tubs at the Park Hyatt across the street, and guests can use its facilities, including the heated pool. We didn't use the exercise room, but it looked amazing. We loved the place and wouldn't change a thing.

We had such a lovely stay at Post Montane. The front desk team, Rob and another gentleman, were friendly and accommodating. They let us extend checkout and keep our parking spot until we were ready to leave Beaver Creek. Guests can also use some facilities at the nearby Hyatt. The gondola and several restaurants and cafes are easy to reach, and Vail Village is around 20 minutes away.
