Beaver Dam Inn

The place is badly dated and should cost motel 6 prices, especially since motel 6 is nicer. The carpet was filthy. Keep your shoes on, and bring shower shoes.

I booked by accident and got charged $124. They wouldn't refund me.

I stayed February 1st to the 2nd because I needed somewhere safe and didn't really have the money, but I had no choice. They charged me $113 for a room that looked untouched since the place opened. I've stayed there several times, including in the same room, and there was no no-smoking notice in the room or on the door. This time they charged me $200, and I don't know what for. They hadn't charged me on the earlier stays, and I was in a non-smoking room. I haven't smoked in years, but the whole place smells like smoke and I'm being blamed for it. I'm reporting it to the BBB. They have Coke machines, but you can't use them. I had to pay $3.00 for a 12oz Dr. Pepper at the front desk.

The hotel staff at the front desk, both morning and night, treated us with a lot of respect and were amazing, even though they knew we'd broken down. My car quit about 12 miles from this little town, and Tallys Towing and Recovery came out. The driver was awesome, and I definitely recommend the tow service. Beaver Dam Inn was great too. One local mechanic on 1st street was a jerk and didn't seem interested in helping two older women stranded there. A few locals knew exactly who I meant and agreed with me, lol.
