Eagle Inn

After driving all day, a warm shower and comfortable bed were just what we needed. My fiance and I were going from Austin to Pittsburgh, but I realized my astigmatism meant I couldn't make it to Elizabethtown. I called Eagle Inn, and we had a room within 20 minutes. The woman at the office was super friendly and quickly found space for us and our two cats. The heater was welcome since we aren't used to snow and had arrived during snow season. It was quiet, and our Penske moving truck fit nicely in the lot. Just a basic motel, but it suited us well.

If you need somewhere to stay, this is a good motel at a good price. It's close to restaurants and the amphitheater, and they offer weekly rates.

The housekeeper and other staff were flat-out rude throughout our stay. We stripped the linens and took out our own trash to help, but they still kept our deposit. They say pets are allowed and charged us a high fee for our dog, yet moved us to another room in the middle of the stay because the dog barked. They made us feel like having our dog there was an inconvenience. On checkout day, they started calling our room at 6am, then every hour to remind us check-out was at 11am. The service was unprofessional, and the stay was very uncomfortable. They charge too much for the amenities and service they don't provide. I wouldn't stay there again if my life depended on it. A waste of money.

The rooms are older, but mostly pretty clean. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked great. They gave us a ride to the beaver dam ampetheater, which was nice. Pets are allowed for a small fee.
