The Hangar Lofts Hotel

The loft itself was amazing, and the service was just as good. The owner sat and talked with me for about an hour, and his kindness and personality made it feel like we’d known each other for years. I almost wish he’d sell me the place I stayed in. The world could use more people and places like this.

Joab is a terrific host, professional and quick to respond, and check-in has always been easy. Communication is clear, and you can tell they care about guests and take pride in the place. I’ve stayed at Hangar Lofts several times, and each visit has been excellent. The lofts are clean, comfortable, and well cared for, with a really convenient location. I’ll keep coming back and highly recommend it for an easy, enjoyable stay.

The owner is an absolute gem, and the lofts are so sexy and one of a kind. These are some of the most beautiful, amazing modern places around Columbia, and honestly across most of the state. If you’re lucky enough to find an opening, book it right away. You’ll be so happy you did. This is Columbia’s best!

It was easy to walk to and from Williams-Brice Stadium for a Gamecocks game, and I loved the retro stainless steel, modern industrial design of the Hangar Lofts. We would rent again, though a few practical additions would make the stay better. There were just three wire hangers in the roomy closets. The bathroom could use more hooks for hand and bath towels. We ended up draping a hand towel over an open cupboard door because there was nowhere to hang it. There’s also only one mirror, an 18x24" one over the bathroom sink. With the only outlet for a hair dryer or flat iron there too, using those appliances meant balancing them precariously on the edge of the sink. A larger or full-length mirror outside the bathroom, near an outlet, would be a big improvement.
